BrandsPoint™ became the first international conference on branding in the CIS. For the first time in the CIS, Interbrand representatives spoke at the conference in 2002, and specialists from Landor Associates in 2006. The latter is the first branding agency in the world with more than 60 years’ experience of working with the most outstanding brands and institutions in the world. In 2006, BrandsPoint™ was the first in Europe to raise the question of social responsibility of brands and brand builders. That very year, the conference was recognized internationally! The best international Web portal on branding, BrandChannel, put BrandsPoint™ on the list of international events recommended to professionals.


A new unprecedented format!

BrandsPoint format changed dramatically in 2007! The forum hosts parallel conferences on the technologies of powerful brand creation in such categories as FMCG, Finance, B2B, Place.


History!

  1. 2002 – BrandsPoint I - The first international conference on branding held in Ukraine, initiated by Valentin Pertsiya, the CEO of BrandAid and organized by BrandAid. Interbrand comes to the CIS with a speech for the first time!
  1. 2003, spring - BrandsPoint II - The second conference discussed research techniques in branding, the advertising strategies for brand promotion. Speakers included Igor Ganzha, Valentin Pertsiya, Istok Kalman, Nicola Stanisch.
  1. 2003, autumn - BrandsPoint III - The third conference attracted a record number of participants. Dan Herman’s theory of Short-Term Brands was presented.
  1. 2004, autumn - BrandsPoint IV - The fourth conference deals with the issues and technologies of creating emotionally significant brands. For the first time in the CIS, the speakers include Leslie de Chernatony, Professor of Brand Marketing (UK) and the guru of consumer packaging Andrew Streeter; Saatchi&Saatchi representatives present the theory of creating LoveMarks™.
  1. 2005, autumn - BrandsPoint V - The fifth conference raised the issues of Media convergence and new strategies of brand promotion in saturated categories. Rebranding approaches and brand valuation by Interbrand were presented for the first time.
  1. 2006, spring - BrandsPoint VI - The sixth conference continued discussing the topic of rebranding and brand expansion into new categories. For the first time in the CIS, speakers included representatives of the oldest branding agency in the world, Landor Associates.
  1. 2006, autumn - BrandsPoint VII - The seventh conference was the first in Europe to raise the issue of social responsibility of brands and socially responsible branding. The forum attracted brand leaders from the USA, India, Ukraine and Russia. Brand leaders shared their experience in creating corporate responsibility and socially responsible brands and programs.
  1. 2007, spring - BrandsPoint VIII - The eighth branding conference presents a new format for the first time in the CIS: specialized branding conferences within one forum and a unique topic: Brand ROI. The conference included a master class by Tim Ambler, an outstanding international specialist in assessing the effect of marketing and branding on the company’s bottom line. Within two days, there were five (!) conferences on FMCG, band and financial services and locations branding, as well as B2B branding. The forum drew a record number of stars: representatives of Boston Consulting Group (USA), Millward Brown Optimor (USA), Future Brand (UK), Wollf Olins (UK), Contrapunkt (Denmark), Senteo International (USA).
  1. 2007, îñåíü - BrandsPoint IX - The ninth forum, Brand Strategies in Mergers and Acquisitions & Brands Portfolio Strategies, raised the important topic of branding strategies in mergers and acquisitions, as well as new portfolio strategies and differentiation tools. The forum included conferences on FMCG branding and bank and financial services branding.
  1. The tenth anniversary forum BrandsPoint X will take place in Kyiv, 10-11 April 2008. Topic: Creating lifestyle brands!
